The Swiss Healthcare System remains a model of interest for the reform debate. It was implemented in a country with a free-market economy in Europe and Switzerland is a democracy governed by a federal constitution modeled on the constitution of the United States.

The Swiss healthcare reform of 1996 reveals some similarities with the problems we face today in the U.S. Can the Swiss experience offer a roadmap to implementing healthcare reform in this country?

We will explore these and other issues on March 4th at "Switzerland's Healthcare System - Government Regulation, Private Delivery and Market Forces".
