Deadline for Conference Roundtable Submissions Extended
The deadline for roundtable submissions has been extended to September 15, 2010.
The goal of the Roundtable Discussions is to get executives to exchange valuable ideas and experiences on some of the most important issues facing the business of healthcare. The Roundtables are scheduled to take place over breakfast on Saturday November 6 from 8:30 am to 9:45 am. Topics are not tied to the overall theme of the conference, allowing for a wide range of healthcare discussions. Roundtable leaders receive a significant discount ($395 vs. $675 early bird rate) on the conference registration fee. This year we plan to have 12 roundtable positions and expect competition for the slots to be strong.
If you are interested in hosting a roundtable at this year’s conference please send a 1-sentence topic, 80-word-max description, and 30-word-max bio to both Steve Wardell at swardell@mba2000.hbs.edu and Justin Silver at jsilver@mba2008.hbs.edu. The roundtable chairs will review the entries and get back to the applicants in September. Roundtable leaders should prepare opening remarks, optional discussion materials and be prepared for a participatory roundtable discussion.
Roundtable topics at the 10th Annual HBS HIAC included:

Are you willing to share your healthcare industry expertise? Would you like to help a current HBS student?
The Healthcare Initiative at Harvard Business School is seeking alumni working in all sectors of the healthcare industry to mentor current MBA students. Last year the Healthcare Student-Alumni Mentor Program made over 100 matches between alumni working in healthcare and 1st and 2nd year HBS students.

Please volunteer. To sign up to be a mentor, please complete this brief survey: http://poll.hbs.edu/poll/open/pollTakerOpen.jsp?poll=125974.
